Please do not disturb, I am on Island time
While Banana Bread became our favourite lockdown recipe, Maldives became the favorite holiday destination for many.
As the restrictions on travel were lifted, an air bubble arrangement was made between India and Maldives and since the holiday destination follows the system of “one-island-one-resort”, travellers don’t run the risk of being affected by the novel coronavirus during their travel.
So, our home for the next few days is a stunning over-water villa, your acquaintances for the day are colourful tropical fish, reef sharks, turtles, and the elusive manta ray .... Lounging on a Postcard-perfect sandbank, with feet tucked in the sand, a glass of Champagne or two and gorging on the most amazing food with the freshest of produce…If beach dining is not your thing, then you may look at dining overwater, or underwater or even in the water. You ask and we give you on a platter.. quite literally!
And when the sun bids goodbye by painting this gorgeous canvas with pink, orange and red hues, you will be serenaded to exotic secret coves under the starlit sky in the glowing light of candles, or get enthralled by the same starlit sky with the resident astronomer in a floating observatory, or even a private cinema under the stars... well.,, starry starry nights, it sounds like!
When to go? Anytime is a good time to go for Maldives. With temperatures averaging 27-30 C, it’s the perfect holiday destination year-round. December to April is typically the peak dry season (northeast monsoon) where you can expect constant sunshine and blue skies, perfect for lounging, sipping cocktails, spotting dolphins, swimming with the mantas and more!
